Projects

Agri all Africa (AaA) is strongly rooted in its vision of creating a platform for successful commercialization of farming throughout Africa. To unlock investment opportunities, it requires  a comprehensive understanding of the territory, the cross-cutting impact on human security and ultimately the creation of wealth.

A key element of AaA’s process is the dedication towards quality project development design and -process, combined with a keen understanding of how the commercial and organised platforms are linked in a symbiotic fashion so that farming practice and policy moves forward in a synchronized fashion.  Data management and effective use of technology with a security of tenure and positive environmental factors with strong off-take markets are all part of the process of implementing successful agricultural projects.

 Implementation

AaA has since its inception concentrated on the vastly better endowed countries in Southern Africa. The RSA simply cannot compete in terms of critical environmental factors such as arable soils and water with countries to the North of its borders. On the other hand the RSA has resources that the continent does not possess. The biggest bulk of commercial farmers, access to management and technological skills thus naturally combines with what Africa has to give.  It is a match made in heaven if correctly understood and applied in investment and project development processes.

The above ingredients are pillars is AaA’s projects. The approach to develop agricultural projects and bring them to bankability is grounded in this vested recipe applying a network approach with selected partners that shares the same values. The following investment project activities serve as example of the conviction that farming always is a long-term investment, – farmer/community embracement; scientific and business focused as well as quality leadership guidance.

AaA Projects

RSA. Community development projects in co-operation with strategic partners like AfriForum, Healing Our Land and U can Grow. Current projects are conducted in the Free State-, Limpopo-, Eastern Cape, Kwa Zulu Natal and Eastern Cape Provinces.

Zambia. AaA regard Zambia as on one of the most agri investor friendly countries in Africa. AaA has, in terms of project development focused on projects in the Lufwanyama district of the Copperbelt; the Eastern Province in the Mambwe Valley (Warma Farms); as well as with huge co-operation potential in the area west of Lusaka with German investors in the Amatheon Farming Block;

Mozambique. Apart from a variety of smaller projects linked to the more than 2000 SA farmers that are currently present in Mozambique, a jewel in the list of projects is the AbelhaMoz bee and honey project in the Inhambane Province. This project has the potential to provide the basis of one of the strongest Agri-hubs in Mozambique;

In Western Africa, AaA is in close cooperation both commercial farming developments in Ivory Coast, Ghana and in Nigeria as well as in The Gambia;

In the DRC as well in Angola, AaA is working with strategic investors in the industrial and mineral industry. The projects have a very strong Public Private Partnership (PPP) flavour. Even though in its infant shoes, farming projects in this regard will most probably involve more than 100 SA farming families in the next 5 years
