About Us

Agri All Africa believes that our main challenge is not a lack of money, technology, information, or people, but rather the lack of an organising principle – an organised delivery system that can link money, people, technology, and ideas into a system to deliver more efficiently and achieve set objectives. AaA created a super platform, focused on the need of farmers, agribusinesses, organisations, and governments by using big data driven intelligence, technological solutions, project development and project management. Not only high-level project management will receive attention, but with skilled experts on the ground to drive assurance. Our vision is to support the development of commercial agriculture in Africa as a key driver of the continent’s economic development. Intrinsic to this model, is the use of small-holder and out-growers to support wealth creation in local communities where the commercialisation of agricultural value-chains, is endeavoured.

History

AgriSA (Agriculture South Africa), is a federation of agricultural organisations, and known as one of the oldest and the most prominent organised agriculture unions in South Africa and serves as a policy advocacy platform, for organised agriculture in South Africa.

Both spontaneously and on request from African Governments, AgriSA member farmers and other farmers in South Africa, started to migrate into Africa, especially after 2006 and are spreading their expertise in commercial agriculture in these countries. In response to the latter, AgriSA created a committee to focus on their needs by supporting the opportunities these farmers can offer agriculture development in Africa. It became clear that these farming endeavours into Africa, will need diplomatic support as well as a holistic approach. The Africa Committee thus migrated into an independent organisation called Agri All Africa (AaA), followed by a developmental period of its structure, business plan and consultation with various organisations, farmers, and agribusinesses.

The Vision

The vision is to create a platform to provide a foundation for successful commercial farming throughout Africa, in support of economic development and food security, along the Voluntary Guidelines for Responsible Agricultural Investments in Africa.

To support strong agricultural growth by establishing an Africa-wide “super platform”, an integrated data, communication and policy influencing network (managed by AaA), combined with a project management platform, linking farmers, agribusinesses, organisations, and governments under African Agriculture Productions T/A as African Agriculture. AaA in reference to the latter, in close support reconfirming the strategic relationship between the two platforms.

AaA foresees the establishment of a brand that says AaA is a key partner in increasing assurance in agriculture projects by eliminating inefficiencies that impact on project success, embracing the development of agriculture sectors in countries, promoting the transferring of skills, and rendering operational support to drive agribusiness in close support of African Agriculture operational focus.
